We actively and consistently strive to contribute to a better world by focusing on key areas such as health, quality education, climate protection and inclusivity. Our dedicated CSR working group, equipped with its own goals and budget, plays a vital role in these efforts. By fostering a positive and forward-thinking company culture, we aim to make a meaningful impact while continuously evolving as a responsible and conscious business.

Our focus areas

We are committed to several societal themes, including:

  • The mental and physical well-being of our employees is a top priority. We promote health awareness and actively improve access to health-related resources.

    Knijff is proud of its staff and committed to offering them the very best working conditions. These include a choice of working from home or the office, the offer of inhouse training or personal courses, or customised solutions in case of illness for instance. Staff turnover is very low, and many people have been with Knijff for a long time. Some of our staff have even returned to Knijff after a stay elsewhere.

  • We invest in educational programs and resources—both internally and externally—to enhance awareness and understanding of intellectual property and trademark protection.

    Waste reduction is another priority for us. Any waste is recycled or reused where possible. Since we introduced our digital office years ago, we have been able to drastically reduce our paper consumption.

    Sustainability features in all of our decisions. Our vehicle fleet consists almost entirely of electrical cars and we recently doubled the number of charging stations at the office, now serving both staff and visitors.

In terms of gender balance, 30% of our employees are male and 70% female, while our ownership structure consists of 56% men and 44% women.   • Our CSR approach influences strategic choices, such as sourcing from sustainable suppliers. This is reflected in our partnerships with eco-friendly water companies, our use of electric vehicles, and our commitment to energy-efficient LED lighting.

  • Every year, Knijff supports various social initiatives. Recently, we contributed to the Amsterdam City Swim. Our CSR working group is currently evaluating which projects and charitable causes we will support in the long term.
